The European Laudato Si’ Alliance (ELSiA) is organizing the fifth Laudato Si’ Reflection Day with the title “Two Generations, One Journey”, to be held online on Tuesday May 17, 2022 from 9:30 to 12:30 and from 14:00 to 18:00, CEST.

Participants will gather to share, listen, and engage in intergenerational dialogues around integral ecology and how to achieve a sustainable future for all.

This is a free event and you can register here.

Inspired by the European Year of Youth, the LSRD 2022 will provide a platform for dialogue and exchange across generations on what it means to be engaged on environmental and ecological issues; present how grassroot movements and European policies are shaping the radical change needed to live sustainably; and share testimonies from the ELSiA network of people that have already made bold life choices.

Cardinal Jean – Claude Hollerich, President of COMECE and Honorary President of ELSiA, will open the meeting with a video message. In the morning, there will be an intergenerational dialogue around environmental movements of yesterday and today and comment on some critical passages from Laudato Si’.

Furthermore, participants will also explore issues of sustainable food production versus fast food, and sustainable fashion versus fast fashion, and the protection of Creation and biodiversity, listening and interacting with experts and young people leading the change.

Finally, speakers will talk about if and how anyone can make bold choices to protect Creation and contribute to create sustainable living conditions for future generations.
