4th International Congress on the Care of Creation

The congress will be celebrated on July 31 at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, in Lisbon. The conference is organized in a way that will bring the young participants and experts who will offer their reflections on 5 areas of human life: economy – education and family life – natural resources – politics – technology

City of Joy

Visit our booth at the Vocational Fair inside the City of Joy, where we will share information on how to be part of the movement by caring for our common home.

Prayers and Eucharist at St. Anthony’s Church

Share moments of prayer with us during WYD at the Church of Saint Anthony.

From Tuesday, August 1st to Saturday, August 5th, we will come together in prayer and celebrate the Eucharist with our Franciscan brothers from the General Office for Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation.

  • Tuesday: 
    • Prayer (Portuguese) from 10am to 11am
  • Wednesday: 
    • Mass (Spanish) from 10am to 11am officiated by Br. Carlos Trovarelli, OFMConv (Minister General of the F.M. Conventual)
    • Mass (English) from 4pm to 5 pm officiated by Fr. Alvin Para, OFM (OFM Vice-Secretary General).
  • Thursday:
    • Mass (Italian) from 10am to 11am officiated by Br. Ignacio Ceja, OFM (OFM Vicar General)
    • Mass in Portuguese from 4pm to 5pm officiated by Br. Ignacio Ceja, OFM (OFM Vicar General)
  • Friday:
    • Multilingual ecological prayer from 10am to 11am
  • Saturday:
    • Multilingual ecological prayer from 10am to 11am

4th Edition of the Serata Laudato Si’

On Wednesday, August 2, we will experience a musical evening! Soon we will share more information about the serata–an opportunity to experience the Laudato Si’ and Fratelli Tutti Encyclicals up close and personal.

Even if you are not going to Lisbon, you can still be part of this Tree Planting Campaign and help offset the carbon footprint of WYD Lisbon 2023.
