“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
In a few weeks Advent begins; a time to embark on a journey of preparation for our encounter with God, Jesus Christ, who comes to meet us in the bosom of Creation: it is the Good News!
We anticipate with hope and joy the renewal of all Creation through the Incarnation, when Jesus assumes the material life that we share with all creatures.
This year, we have prepared a new Calendar: a deliberate mix of calendar milestones, Gospel verses, reflection questions and calls to action, linking the contemplative spirit of Advent with the action imperative of our faith.

What will you find on the calendar?
- A daily Advent prayer
- The day-by-day calendar with liturgical feasts, saints and suggestions for living Advent
- A proposed prayer for each Sunday of Advent
- A special Christmas Day reflection

This calendar is the result of the work and talent of Camille-Constance Curet, a volunteer Laudato Si’ Animator from France; Suzana Moreira, Head of Ecological Conversion Programs from Brazil; Christina Leaño, Associate Director from the USA; and our communications team: Domenica Reyes from Ecuador, Marco Vargas from Ecuador and Daniel Alarcón from Mexico.
Consider the prayer in this resource not as an abstract exercise, but as a call to action. It is not just a document; it is a thoughtful guide to an adventure, creating room in the manger for kings, the impoverished, animal life alike and, above all, our Savior.
