From Brazil to Italy, from Cameroon to Argentina, the Spirit is alive in this growing movement. All the training conducted during May and June 2025 are a powerful testimony to how the Laudato Si’ Movement is actively nurturing a culture of integral ecology worldwide.

Let’s celebrate this incredible milestone together! 🌱

One of the most touching moments was the Portuguese-language Animators Conference, which included heartfelt testimonies from Animators of Animators. The community came together in joy, commitment, and a shared mission for our common home.

240 New Animators in a Spirit of Partnership and Mission in Italy

The Italy 2025 formation program welcomed 240 new Laudato Si’ Animators and was marked by the participation of 38 partner organizations, including new allies such as the CEI Mission Foundation and the Community of Deacons in Italy.

Spanish-Speaking Countries: 350 New Seeds of Change

In the Spanish-speaking world, 350 new Animators joined the mission after completing their formation, which centered on:

  • The messages of Laudato Si’ and Laudate Deum
  • Ecological conversion as a spiritual and communal journey
  • The upcoming COP30 and the role of justice as a path to peace
  • A heartfelt tribute to Pope Francis for his ecological legacy

The musical group Filocalia helped bring the celebration to life with their moving songs, including Oración por Nuestra Tierra and Todos.

A Formation That Builds Bridges, more than 150 new animators

In French-speaking regions, the celebration was marked by unity and mission. Fr. Eric Mouterde, Vice-Secretary of the French Bishops Conference, greeted the community on behalf of Bishop Jacques Benoît-Gonin, praising the international scope of the movement.

Fr. Yann Le Lay shared these powerful words:

“This formation is a treasure to move forward together.”

Ms. Jeanne-Marie Abanda Njekoli highlighted the importance of working in synergy at every level of the Church, ensuring this formation becomes a living witness of integral ecology in action.

Hope in Action with more than 270 animators

In English-speaking regions, more than 270 Animators have completed their seed projects and are receiving certificates, with 150 more soon to follow.

Here are just a few of their reflections:

“What started as a simple desire to share Laudato Si’ with my students has now grown into a deeper commitment to bring creation care into my professional life as an architect.”

— Charles Glen Unidad

“We are all in this together, regardless of where we live.”

— Lisa Polega

“The passion and desire to lead others towards ecological conversion is strong.”

— Crisanta Dela Peña, Animator of Animators

Mentors from four continents—our beloved Animators of Animators—joined in the celebration, cheering on this new wave of leaders dedicated to caring for our common home.

A Growing Global Movement

With over 1,500 new Animators across Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, French, and English-speaking communities, the Laudato Si’ Movement continues to expand with strength and joy.

These Animators now join a global network of ecological leaders committed to:

  • Integral ecology
  • Climate justice
  • Community engagement
  • Living out the messages of Laudato Si’ and Laudate Deum

Their “yes” brings light, courage, and action to this shared mission. And the journey is only just beginning.
