Laudato Si’ Week may be over, but the journey is just beginning.
From quiet living rooms to bustling streets, from sacred prayer to public witness, Laudato Si’ Week 2025 was nothing short of unforgettable. Together, we celebrated a decade of caring for our common home—and thanks to you, hope is more alive than ever. 🌍💚
A Week That Moved the World
With hundreds of events across the globe, the words of Pope Francis were not just quoted—they were lived. What began as a week of reflection became a sacred moment of unity, gratitude, and concrete action. Here’s how the Laudato Si’ Movement family brought the encyclical to life.

Nampula, Mozambique marks 10 years of Laudato Si’
🌳 In Mozambique: Hope for the coast
The Ecclesiastical Province of Nampula marked 10 years of Laudato Si’ with a symbolic action, planting a tree on the Pemba seafront, led by the Archbishop of Nampula alongside four bishops. The shoreline of Pemba—an area deeply affected by coastal erosion—was chosen for its ecological importance, turning this act into both a symbol and a concrete contribution to the care of our common home.
“This is not just a tribute, but a commitment to the future,” said the Archbishop.
🌳 In Italy: Hope for all generations

Laudato Si’ Circle of the Monti Tifatini
Young people, children, and adults from the Laudato Si’ Circle of the Monti Tifatini took part in the pilgrimage “In the footsteps of Laudato Si’”, building bridges of unity together.

🌳Around the world: Hope for debt relief
A “Relay of Hope” organized by Caritas Internationalis brought together faith-based and civil society organizations to demand just economic systems and debt relief for the world’s most vulnerable. From Cambodia to Bolivia, candles were lit to symbolize hope for a future where essential services take precedence over crushing debt.
🌳 In your home: Hope for all
Laudato Si’ Week global event
Almost 5,000 people attended the online celebration to cap the end of Laudato Si’ Week and more than 16,000 people downloaded resources from the Laudato Si’ Week website.
These aren’t just numbers. They are hearts, minds, and hands joined in a global movement of care.
🌟If this is what we achieved in a decade . . . imagine what comes next.
Thank you for raising hope. Let’s keep working together, sharing the light of hope with a world that urgently needs it.
