
Just a few days ago, Catholic bishops from Africa, Asia and Latin America launched a historic appeal ahead of COP30 in Belém, Brazil. Their message is clear: the world needs a deep, courageous and urgent ecological conversion.
Ten years after the encyclical Laudato Si’ and the Paris Agreement, the global response has failed to live up to the emergency. With global warming reaching 1.55°C in 2024, we are already experiencing the most severe impacts—and it is the poorest who suffer first.
