To implement the LSA program in Hungary, the Laudato Si’ Movement, the Caritas in Veritate Commission of the Hungarian Catholic Bishops’ Conference and the Canticle of the Sun Association have established a partnership in a synodality style of working together for a Church to be a sacrament of care:

The Caritas in Veritate Commission of the Hungarian Bishops’ Conference has been engaged  consistently in growing awareness of Creation Care and bringing Laudato Si to life in Hungary where almost two third of the Hungarian population identify itself as Catholic. It promoted a Creation Day at the 52nd International Eucharistic Congress. The Canticle of the Sun Association for the Protection of Creation was established in 2011 and its mission is to work in full harmony with the initiatives of the official Church organizations, and to take advantage of our society’s leeway as civil associations, promoting and helping to put into practice an environmentally conscious thinking and activity that is appropriate to the Church’s teaching. It is a Member Organization of Laudato Si’ Movement.

In Hungary, the training is held in collaboration with Franciscans, EcoOne/Focolare Movement, 72 Disciples Movement, Salesians, Hungarian Scout Association, which represent the diversity and richness of charisms in the Church, walking together to live Laudato si’ in Hungary in their own networks.

This training is addressed to all those who feel the desire to animate their parishes and communities in living the dimension of an outgoing Church attentive to the cry of the poor and of the earth in their respective contexts, responding to this call to become the leaven of a community conversion. Young people and adults interested in the care of our common home and with a great desire to participate in this new mission of the church by activating in the animation and promotion of the Laudato si’ in their respective parish realities and of origin

In Hungary,  it will consist of 5 online sessions lasting 1,5 hour, an evaluation ongoing process at the end of each of the 5 sessions, a capstone project to be carried out during the year 2022. At the end of the training course, the participants receive a certificate and enter the global network of Animators.
