ROME, May 10 2022 – Laudato Si’ Movement and Independent Catholic News are excited to announce a new media partnership that aims to inspire Catholics around the world to care for our common home.

The partnership will help Independent Catholic News more regularly feature stories about Catholics across the globe working to save God’s creation. The new relationship also will help the hundreds of thousands of Catholics and their institutions that engage with Laudato Si’ Movement learn more about Independent Catholic News.

Tomás Insua, Laudato Si’ Movement Executive Director, said: “We’re thrilled to be working more closely with Independent Catholic News, which, for more than 20 years, has been sharing inspiring stories about our faith and motivating Catholics to live out their faith.”

Jo Siedlecka, Editor of Independent Catholic News, said: “Since the landmark encyclical Laudato Si’ was published in 2015, ICN has highlighted stories about Laudato Si’ projects, retreats, and advocacy on issues, including climate change, biodiversity and care for Earth’s oceans. I am happy for ICN to work even more closely with the Laudato Si’ Movement, which has been inspirational and creative in promoting the agenda of Pope Francis to respond to ‘the cry of Earth and the cry of the poor.’ Care of all God’s creation must be incorporated into the missionary agenda of the Church today and featured in Catholic news networks. ICN is delighted to be a key partner.”
