Giving Tuesday, created in 2012 as a way to combat the consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, has blossomed into a beautiful day of global generosity!

At Laudato Si’ Movement, it has become a day that has often aligned with the start of Advent, a time for reflection on how we can prepare for Christ’s birth in the world as it is today and a time to reflect on the themes of hope, love, joy, and peace, symbolized on the Advent wreath.

As we begin the Advent season and celebrate #GivingTuesday, we ask you, your family, and community to hear the cry of the Earth and the cry of the poor and reflect on how you can bring hope, love, and peace to the world today. We ask you to consider doing so by making a gift of – action, prayer, or donation – and to do so through Laudato Si’ Movement.

ACTION: If you choose to act, we hope you will consider joining one of our movement-building programs to receive the skills, training, experience, and community that will help you take action for our common home in a way that is meaningful to you.

PRAYER: If you choose to join us in prayer, we hope you will consider joining the Creation Care Prayer Network, which offers individuals and communities ways to connect through prayer and Eucharistic adoration.

DONATION: If you choose to make a donation, we graciously thank you for any gift. Your gift helps us bring Laudato Si’ to more people and institutions and supports our growing movement-building network of 24,000-plus Laudato Si’ Animators (Catholic community leaders), 830-plus Member Organizations, 40-plus Chapters, 800-plus Circles, and 1,000-plus Laudato Si’ Generation (LSM’s youth movement) members, and many more, in 160-plus countries. We hope you will also take a moment to hear directly from our Founding Executive Director Tomás Insua on what a donation means to Laudato Si’ Movement.

Blessings to you and yours this Giving Tuesday and Advent season!Â
