Defending a Healthy Planet: Franciscan action at the UN Climate Conference

Faith in Action for Climate Justice

At COP26, faith groups will hold an event to express our hopes and demands for a COP that delivers on climate justice. Laudato Si’ Movement leaders will hand over more than 100,000 Healthy Planet, Healthy People petition signatures, further amplifying faith leaders’ call for urgent action to be taken in Glasgow.

This 24-hour vigil, which will take place in-person and online, is a time to pray, meditate, and reflect on our efforts as human beings to protect our common home. It is also a time to pray for the negotiations at COP26, that they may deliver conscious discourse and conscious actions from our leaders.

  • What is happening to the climate and why is COP26 so important?

November Global Laudato Si’ Monthly Prayer Gathering
