Following the recent announcement of the transition of Executive Director Tomás Insua, the Laudato Si’ Movement (LSM) Board of Directors has commissioned the faith-based agency PIRON Global Development to support the nomination and selection process to identify the new Executive Director to lead LSM in the next phase of its development.

In the synodal spirit that is marking the evolution and transitions taking place at LSM, the Board now welcomes nominations from across the movement and its networks, to help identify the best possible candidate to lead LSM into its next phase. A Search Committee has been appointed by the Board, composed of key leaders from LSM and the wider movement, to spearhead the process with PIRON’s support.

Needless to say, the new Executive Director will play a key role in delivering LSM’s bold mission to inspire and mobilize the Catholic community to care for our common home and achieve climate and ecological justice. The Board is therefore looking forward to receiving nominations which reflect the high calibre of leadership required – candidates with significant leadership experience, deeply rooted in the charism and knowledge of Laudato Si’, and with extraordinary managerial competence and at least 10 years of leadership track record in culturally diverse teams.

To guide the nominations process, a Profile for the next LSM Executive Director has been developed, as well as guidance on nominations, and is available on request for those wishing to nominate a candidate from PIRON email: [email protected]

Respected individuals from within the Laudato Si’ Movement, as well as faith-based partners, are invited to nominate suitable candidates with prior permission and support of the nominee. The nomination process is open until 30th April 2023 at 6pm CET.

Lastly, we would like to invite the whole movement to join together in prayer at this delicate moment of transition. We count on everyone’s prayerful support so that the Search Committee and the Board will be assisted by the Holy Spirit to find the right person for this important role, to help LSM to thrive on this road to our upcoming Global Encounter and way beyond.

Laudato Si’!
