Every story is a drop. Together, we become a river of Living Water.
Season of Creation is flowing into its second week, and through you—our communities around the world—we continue to hear stories of Living Water.
Young people are walking. Children are learning. Communities are praying. Hearts are being challenged. And simple commitments are becoming action.
Different places. Different expressions of faith. One river growing wider and deeper.
In Lazio, Living Water flows across dioceses

In the Lazio region of Italy, the Missa pro Custodia Creationis—the Mass for the Care of Creation—is becoming an invitation for the wider Church to walk together. The Missa was celebrated at the Eco-Charity Garden by Msgr. Gianrico Ruzza—Bishop and President of the Lazio Commission for Social Issues and Labor—in an event organized in collaboration with the Commission, the Laudato Si’ Movement, and the Sisters of Charity of Saint Jeanne-Antide Thouret; the service was attended by various diocesan leaders from Lazio and more than 120 people.
Inspired by Living Water and Ezekiel 47:1-12, the celebration brings the care of our common home into the heart of the Church’s prayer while seeking to involve diocesan leaders responsible for social concerns across the region.
The hope is that those gathered will carry the invitation back to their own dioceses, allowing one celebration to become many new streams of prayer, reflection and action.
We walk. We listen. We encountered each other. And then we carry what we have received into our communities.
Living Water flows—from one celebration, to many dioceses, and into the life of the Church.
In Chile, the water flows to a new generation

For Colonias Urbanas San Columbano, children and young people became protagonists.
Through prayer, the Eucharist and community activities, they discovered that caring for water, avoiding food waste, respecting animals and keeping their surroundings clean can all become expressions of love for God.
Their invitation was simple: “Make the water flow.”
The community is now hoping to form young people as future mentors, allowing care for our common home to flow from one generation to another.
In Glasgow, transformed hearts can transform the world

Around 60 people gathered in Glasgow for the annual Season of Creation Conference of the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland Office for the Care of Creation.
LSM Executive Director Lorna Gold called for a renewed “conversion of heart,” reminding participants that “the scream of nature is ‘stop’.”
In the country that helped launch the steam-powered Industrial Revolution, she invited Scotland to help lead a new ecological revolution.
Living Water transforms hearts—but transformed hearts can also transform societies.
In Bogotá, the prayer continues

In Bogotá, a community gathered online on September 1 and again for Creation Sunday.
Their simple witness reminds us that the Season of Creation is not one moment or one event. It is a journey from September 1 to October 4 in which prayer can deepen each time we gather.
Living Water does not remain still.
In Bengaluru, prayer becomes action

At JMJ Hospital in Nagawara, Bengaluru, the Season began with prayer and quickly moved toward action.
The community planned a month of awareness programs, street plays, water conservation, plastic reduction and environmental initiatives.
Their message captures it beautifully:
“Save Water. Protect Nature. Protect Life.”
Like Ezekiel’s river leaving the Temple, prayer moves outward—into streets, communities and everyday choices.
In Winnipeg, we become Living Water

In Winnipeg, blue cloth became a flowing river around which the community prayed.
They gave thanks for Shoal Lake 40 First Nation, where their water comes from, and prayed in lament and hope for those affected by flash floods in Nepal and Tibet.
River stones represented places needing healing. Hands were blessed to become Living Water for others and the environment. Finally, participants wrote concrete commitments on paper droplets—each person becoming a small trickle flowing toward a larger stream.
One river, many streams
Lazio. Chile. Glasgow. Bogotá. Bengaluru. Winnipeg.
Some communities are walking. Others are teaching children, contemplating Scripture, challenging systems, protecting water or simply asking what their own hands can do.
Each action might seem like only a drop.
But drops become streams.
Streams become rivers.
And wherever Living Water flows, life can emerge.
The river is growing—and your community is part of it.
