As on every January 15, we have completed another year of life. We have been walking together as the Laudato Si’ Movement for nine years now, and we are very grateful and jubilant for all that we have shared and for the progress we have made in the care and protection of our common home.

But this 2024 anniversary features something even more special: we are in the midst of a transition in LSM’s executive leadership.

You have probably already heard that Tomás Insua, who has been our executive director for the past nine years, is now embarking on a very challenging and constructive new mission for our movement. And that we have also welcomed our new executive director, Susana Réfega.

This Saturday, January 27, we want to bring them both together at the First Online Global Encounter of 2024. We invite all our members around the world to celebrate this transition together. We will be able to offer our gratitude to Tomás for these years of work and give a message of encouragement to Susana in the new endeavor she is undertaking, in addition to getting to know her a little better.

The gathering will be online at 7 p.m. Rome time. Check the time in your city. It will be very special because we will also give details about all the activities coming up in 2024. You can’t miss it!
