During Laudato Si’ Week, on Thursday, May 23, the Pope’s Message for the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation 2024 will be announced at a Press Conference.
The World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation is celebrated every September 1 and marks the beginning of the Time of Creation, which concludes on October 4, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi.
The theme ” Hope and act with Creation” is inspired by St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans (Rom 8:19-25), in which the apostle acknowledges that “the whole creation groans and suffers” but reminds us that because “in hope we have been saved” we wait “steadfastly.”
