The timeline of the search process for the new Executive Director of Laudato Si’ Movement has been extended till September 8. The decision by LSM’s Board of Directors is meant to allow for additional applications to be considered for this critical role for the Movement.
The Executive Director will serve a 5-year term, with a possibility to renew for another term. The appointed leader will play a key role in delivering LSM’s mission to inspire and mobilize the Catholic community to care for our common home and achieve climate and ecological justice.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, and leading a diverse international secretariat, the Executive Director will drive the implementation of LSM’s strategic framework in support of its broad global membership whilst playing a leading role in raising Catholic voices in the global environmental movement. At a time of continued foundational groundwork around the world, this role will play a critical role in consolidating LSM programs and operations, and organising the growing movement so that it thrives. Among other projects, the new Executive Director will play a key role in supporting LSM’s synodal journey ahead of the Global Encounter and General Assembly of 2025.
LSM members are encouraged to share the news of this process extension so that the best possible candidate can emerge to lead the secretariat and broader movement. As a reminder, the process began a few months ago, following the announcement of the transition of Executive Director Tomás Insua.
We count on everyone’s prayerful support so that the Board might be assisted by the Holy Spirit to find the right person for this important role, to help LSM to thrive on this journey of ecological conversion.

Thanks for your communication and recognize me as one of the Laudato Si Movement’s Community Members. May God’s will fall on the applicants who deserves the rights to hold the position for the global welfare and concern. My humble prayers for that good cause be with the chair of council.
I sent this to a handful of potential candidates and/or leaders that can think of an ideal candidate. Will be praying for this meaningful choice!
This is good, surely God will give us the right candidate for the position.
